Explore the Canadian Rockies with Patrick McMillan and the ETV Endowment
Just in time for your 2020 travel plans, we are thrilled to announce our 8th trip with Patrick McMillan, Ph.D., Director of the SC Botanical Garden, Clemson University professor and host of Expeditions with Patrick McMillan. Patrick will guide ETV Endowment members on an unforgettable tour of the Canadian Rockies June 20-27, 2020. We will begin our journey in Calgary where we will visit Big Rock, the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary and then on to Lake Louise. We will travel to the top of Lake Louise’s 6,700 foot mountain where we will enjoy breakfast with panorama views of the mountains and valley surrounding the lake.
Our tour continues on with a visit to Banff National Park and a drive along the Vermillion Lakes. We will visit the Columbia Icefields, where we will ride an all-terrain Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier, on our way to Jasper National Park. There will be many opportunities for viewing the abundant wildlife in Jasper during our evening tour of the park. We move on to a drive through the Maligne Valley and a stop at Maligne Canyon and Medicine and Maligne Lakes. We will end our journey in Edmonton with the natural wonder of Elk Island National Park.
