A will and health care directives form the foundation of a strong estate plan. In this session, attorney Lesley Moore will walk us through the basics of living wills, health care proxies, other directives and special situations. Physician Bill Simpson will share his experiences after four decades in medical practice to help us see potential oversights and unintended consequences of health care planning. Be sure to bring your questions!

We are fortunate to have Lesley Moore return for a second estate planning webinar in our annual series. Lesley is a Certified Estate Planning and Probate Specialist with Freeman & Moore in Greenville, SC. She concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration and probate. Dr. William Simpson is a gerontologist, Emeritus Professor of Family Medicine, MUSC, and co-writer of the Post and Courier’s “Aging for Amateurs” column. He lives in Charleston.

This webinar is offered as part of National Estate Planning Awareness Month. It is estimated that more than 120 million Americans do not have proper estate plans to protect themselves or their families in the event of sickness, accidents or untimely death. This costs many families wasted dollars and hours of hardship each year that could be minimized with proper planning. Many people also mistakenly underestimate their wealth and think they do not need to do any estate and financial planning.

The webinar will take place on Zoom; you will need internet access and a computer or tablet to participate. Instructions will be sent in advance, and Endowment staff are happy to assist first-time Zoom users.
