Inside ETV Endowment

A beacon of information, culture and inspiration

Dear Viewers and Listeners,

For decades, South Carolina ETV and Public Radio have proudly served as a trusted source of information and a beacon of government transparency, while also consistently celebrating the state's culture, heritage and lifelong learners that make the Palmetto State unique.

February is a special month dedicated to honoring the history and achievements of African Americans. On February 22 at 8 p.m., view the full two-hour documentary The World of Cecil to learn about the life and accomplishments of American photographer and civil rights activist Cecil J. Williams. The two-night premiere of GOSPEL, which is executive produced, written and hosted by Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr., will also explore the rich history of Black spirituality through sermon and song on February 12 and 13 at 9 p.m. Additionally Dream Whisperer, Come By Here: A History of Five Churches and Where I Became will highlight the varied history and contributions of African Americans to society.

Continuing our commitment to covering the 2024 election, SCETV will offer comprehensive coverage of the South Carolina Republican primary on ETV-HD, online and through SC Public Radio on February 24 from 7-9 p.m. Please mark your calendar to view or listen.

For our younger viewers, SCETV PBS KIDS introduced Lyla in the Loop on February 5 at 8 a.m. This animated series follows the adventures of Lyla, her fantastical sidekick Stu and a host of quirky characters using creative and strategic problem-solving skills to address everyday challenges.

If you are not a football fan, SCETV offers an exciting line-up on February 11 to keep you entertained. Whether it's From the Heart: A Tribute to Lawrence Welk & the American Dream or the iconic Roy Orbison & Friends - A Black and White Night, viewers will be treated to informative and entertaining alternative programming.

SCETV is more than a broadcaster. We are a community convener that thrives on shared experiences and a commitment to lifelong learning. Your engagement is what makes SCETV a beacon of information, culture and inspiration for the people of South Carolina. Thank you.
