Happy New Year! The programs featured this month reflect the vital importance of connection — bringing people, stories and communities together. As we move into 2026, I believe public media will continue to deepen that sense of connection in meaningful and inspiring ways through trusted perspectives and shared experiences.

Cookie Monster once said, “What is friend? Friend is someone to share last cookie with.” It’s a charming sentiment, and one that resonates with us here at the ETV Endowment. Your generosity and steadfast support make you not just a viewer or listener, but a true friend and partner in public media. 

July marks the start of a new fiscal year here at the ETV Endowment, and as I reflect on the past year, I am filled with gratitude for YOU. Your loyal support and generosity make it possible for us to continue bringing thoughtful, inspiring programming to our community. We're also thrilled to welcome many viewers and listeners as first-time supporters this year — and, if you've recently joined our ETV Endowment family, we're so glad to have you!

It's a lovely time of year! Flowers are blooming, days are longer and there's lots to celebrate. I most look forward to Memorial Day — particularly watching the National Memorial Day Concert and taking time to pay my respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
