Inside ETV Endowment

One State, Many Voices

Dear ETV Endowment Member,

We hope this letter finds you enjoying a relaxing summer with family, friends and exceptional South Carolina ETV and South Carolina Public Radio programming.  We have just closed another fiscal year at the Endowment, and it may just be the best one in our history…thanks to you!  So many exciting things are underway, including a campaign to produce even more local, original programs that make SCETV and SC Public Radio unique and beloved by us all.

We know local matters.  In a changing media landscape where you can access content from anywhere, only SCETV and SC Public Radio are telling South Carolina’s important stories – here in our state and across the nation.  Local television and radio productions celebrate what makes South Carolina a great place to live, work and visit.

A Chef’s Life, Making It Grow, Walter Edgar’s Journal, Expeditions with Patrick McMillan, South Carolinians in WWII, Sonatas and Soundscapes, Yoga in Practice and The Education of Harvey Gantt are just a few examples of locally-produced programs that you and other ETV Endowment members have made possible.  Together we have been able to support many high-quality programs, but the reality is we haven’t been able to support them all.

That’s precisely why the ETV Endowment has launched the One State, Many Voices: Sharing South Carolina’s Stories campaign.  This campaign, with a goal of $1.6 million, seeks to double the Endowment’s capacity to fund local, original SCETV and SC Public Radio productions.

I’m delighted to share with you that community leaders and others who value public media in South Carolina have already contributed $1,515,000, leaving only $85,000 to reach our goal.  Today, I’m inviting you to help us cross the finish line together

With a special one-time gift to the One State, Many Voices: Sharing South Carolina’s Stories campaign, you will help fuel the creative engines at SCETV and SC Public Radio.  With your support, we will continue the rich legacy of programming that makes SCETV and SC Public Radio valuable, respected assets for our state as well as national leaders in public media.

Please make a donation today and help SCETV and SC Public Radio share the many voices of our state.  On behalf of all our members, viewers and listeners, accept our heartfelt gratitude for all of the ways in which you support public broadcasting in South Carolina.

With many thanks,

Coby Cartrette Hennecy, CPA, CFRE
Executive Director
