My Public Media Story--Donna White
I loved watching Sesame Street as a child and I love that I was able to watch my girls get the same joy laughing, singing and dancing along with Sesame Street, Barney and Teletubbies!
For our family, and for families across South Carolina, public media offers an option for quality, educational and informative programming as opposed to reality television or mainstream media. Public media is also a lifeline for a lot of people in South Carolina who do not have regular, daily interactions. SCETV and SC Public Radio may be their only tie to the outside world.
I see the ETV Endowment thriving in 10 years! With continued innovation, improvements in technology, the attraction of changing viewers and continued quality programming, I see SCETV and SC Public Radio becoming more and more popular each year. Between innovation, improvements in technology, the attraction of changing viewers and continued quality programming I see ETV Endowment thriving right along with the public media stations!
Part of the reason I know the ETV Endowment will thrive is because our donors are SO passionate about SCETV and SC Public Radio! They are dedicated, intelligent and a great source of entertainment! They've helped me to realize what a gift the ETV Endowment helps to provide the people of South Carolina.
We were founded in 1977 by an amazing group of women and have continued to employ some of SC’s highest quality women for 40 years!
