Keeping South Carolina Informed, Connected and Engaged
Dear Viewers and Listeners,
At South Carolina ETV and Public Radio, we believe access to trusted information is essential to a healthy, engaged society. Our mission is rooted in transparency, accountability and a deep responsibility to serve every citizen of our state with clarity and integrity. Whether we are covering elections, elevating community voices or exploring issues that shape daily life, our work is guided by a commitment to foster understanding and civic participation. By providing balanced, accessible and meaningful content across platforms, we strive to ensure that South Carolinians remain informed, connected and empowered to take part in the conversations that define our shared future.
South Carolina ETV and Public Radio continues its commitment to keeping citizens informed with comprehensive election coverage through South Carolina Election 2026. Following last month’s SCETV-hosted debate, the Republican Gubernatorial Primary Debate will air on June 1 at 7 p.m., and the Democratic Gubernatorial Primary Debate will air on June 3 at 7 p.m., both on ETV and SC Public Radio, and streamed on all SCETV platforms. Primary election night coverage begins June 9 at 8 p.m., with run-off coverage scheduled for June 23 at 8 p.m., if needed.
June programming also reflects moments of reflection and celebration. In honor of Juneteenth, the Emmy-nominated Healing with Grace reairs June 18 at 8 p.m. on ETV, followed by The Route to Emancipation on June 21 at 5:30 p.m. on the South Carolina Channel, which follows three friends on a 350-mile journey tracing the history of emancipation. That same day, a Father’s Day lineup features Father of the Bride at 3 p.m. on ETV, followed by a Grown Up Dad episode titled Changing Role of Fatherhood at 4:30 p.m. on ETV. Recognizing Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, Facing the Wind airs June 21 at 2 p.m. and June 23 at 11 p.m. on the South Carolina Channel, sharing a powerful story of love and caregiving within a dementia support community.
New programming continues with an SCETV Safe Space episode titled Finding Community on June 11 at 8 p.m. on ETV, examining how young people experience connection and belonging, and the premiere of Our Town on June 11 across SCETV’s digital platforms, highlighting local stories and characters from communities across South Carolina. SC Public Radio is also proud to introduce Sound Shift, a new 24/7 HD radio and streaming music channel blending classical, jazz, indie and alternative selections throughout the day. Sound Shift can be listened to over traditional broadcast by using an HD radio tuner or streamed wherever SC Public Radio can be accessed.
Thank you for your generous and continued support! Together, these programs reflect the connections, conversations and shared experiences that continue to shape communities across South Carolina.
