Julie joined the ETV Endowment in 2014 and has fifteen years of experience in fundraising and project management, including experience with The Nature Conservancy. Her responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with ETV Endowment supporters and raising funds to support the important programming of SCETV and SC Public Radio.
Julie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Coastal Carolina University in 1999 and a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of South Carolina in 2003, presenting a Master’s thesis on the Northern Ireland peace process. She earned her CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) credential in 2017.
Julie serves as Chair of the Board of Spartanburg School District 7, first elected in 2009. She serves as Assistant Treasurer of the Association of Fundraising Professionals SC, Piedmont Chapter and as the Chair of the Development Committee for The Lonon Foundation, a non-profit in Charleston, SC with a mission to help children affected by a parent or caregiver's cancer diagnosis. Julie also serves on the Land Acquisition Committee of the Spartanburg Area Conservancy. She is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Spartanburg and a 2016 graduate of Leadership South Carolina. Julie lives in the city of Spartanburg with her husband and two sons.
