Julie joined the ETV Endowment in 2014 and has seventeen years of experience in philanthropy and project management. Her responsibilities include overseeing the various fundraising strategies used to support the programming broadcast on SCETV and SC Public Radio, and building and maintaining relationships with ETV Endowment donors. She co-led the One State, Many Voices campaign in 2019 to double the capacity of the ETV Endowment to support the production of local, original content on SCETV and SC Public Radio.
Julie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Coastal Carolina University in 1999 and a Master of Arts in International Studies with a concentration in foreign policy and diplomacy from the University of South Carolina in 2003, presenting a Master’s thesis on the Northern Ireland peace process. She earned her CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) credential in 2017.
Julie served eight years as a Trustee for Spartanburg School District 7, two as Chairwoman. She serves as Vice President of Membership of the Association of Fundraising Professionals SC, Piedmont Chapter and as an advisor to The Lonon Foundation, a non-profit in Charleston, SC with a mission to help children affected by a parent or caregiver's cancer diagnosis. Julie also serves on the Land Acquisition Committee of the Spartanburg Area Conservancy. She is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Spartanburg and a 2016 graduate of Leadership South Carolina. Julie lives in the city of Spartanburg with her husband and two sons.
